The Grand Dragon Ladakh Hotel Leh, Leh

Our stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms offered a splendid view over the mountains and were clean and well-appointed, but they showed slight signs of being run down. The service provided by Mr Manoj and the rest of the staff was outstanding, with attention to every detail and personal care in a challenging climate. The location was convenient for accessing the shops and market on foot, even though it required a uphill walk to reach the main market street. The dining experience was exceptional, among the best any 5-star hotel can offer, but it lacked specific South Indian cuisine that would have been wonderful. Overall, the hotel provided great value for money, but there are areas for improvement such as room upkeep and variety in dining options.
